South Beach Weekend Guide + Nola Overnight

This trip marks my fifth time to Sobe, and each was so much more unique than the last.
Since I was in high school, we have planned a trip to South Beach once a year. The historically vibrant city has such a unique vibe that I often crave throughout the year. From famed art deco buildings to breezy patio dinners, there are never ending adventures.

Before catching a flight to Miami, we decided to drive to New Orleans, Louisiana for a couple nights. When it comes to Nola, the third time is definitely the charm. It could be because it was Bryce's first visit, which was so fun to experience together. We stayed at The Saint, which is an amazing autograph hotel two blocks from Bourbon Street.  We indulged in beignets and coffee for breakfast at the infamous Cafe du Monde and amazing jambalaya at New Orleans Creole Cookery - 100% recommend. After hitting a few voodoo shops and cemeteries (such a lovely combination, am I right?), we then headed to Sobe.

South Beach is definitely a city full of life. It is culturally diverse, architecturally enchanting and perfect for days spent beachside. This year, we stayed at The Shelbourne which boasts chic, old hollywood decor and a quaint, retro pool. Our townhouse was two story, which made for amazing sunset views.

I attempted to pack lightly (for me, anyways) and include several swimsuits (like this rust colored one-piece). My love for one-pieces definitely reignited on this trip - I love the classy look and not having to worry about adjusting every half hour. The strappy detailing, like on this swimsuit was a must for me. My sunglasses are an old pair from D'Blanc, but this pair is super similar.

I am such a sucker for comfortable pajama pieces, especially when on vacation. Throughout our stay, my mom, sister and I were constantly throwing on fun pairs of socks.  Thank you, Happy Socks, for keeping us comfy and cozy.

For dinner, we often ventured out to unique restaurants - new or old, we always seem to nail it. If you're a fan of fish tacos, you must try Naked Taco - it has craft cocktails, a lively patio and numerous photo ops. It definitely represents the overall vibe of Miami very well. After dinner we strolled around the Lincoln Mall for a little shopping and a pitstop at a local bar.
