As of late, I have come across several beauty products that have changed my routine. I am a sucker for all things pink and shiny, therefore I have way too many products that match that description. Despite the pink addiction, I wanted to go ahead and share what my current must have's are.
Mascara is a must for me, due to the fact that my hair is so fair - without, it looks like I have absolutely no eyelashes. I have always admired big and voluminous lashes, so a good mascara or two is definitely necessary for me to achieve that look. This is my go-to mascara for every day, simple lashes. I have used it since high school and cannot go a day without it. It has a curved brush, which I like for a quicker application, and a perfect glossy finish. It is not too clumpy, therefore it works for a casula look. 10/10 all around!
I am totally a shimmery pink lipstick kind of girl, so when I came across the YSL Rogue Volupte Shine, I fell in love. The coolest thing is that my mom wore them in high school and says they still smell and look the exact same. They have so many colors, however I typically stick to a hot to light pink.
For years, I have purchased Clinique's Stay Matte foundation and pressed powder because I loved the simple and light feel when I wore them, however, I recently decided to step out of my comfort zone and try the Make Up For Ever HD foundation. Although I have only used this on occasion, I have seriously fallen in love. The coverage it gives, without feeling 'cakey' is something I think we all strive for when it comes to foundation. This is all of that and so much more. Of course it depends on your skin type, but I tend to have more oily skin. This foundation, with the matching pressed powder have become my favorite part of my make-up routine.
Although this is not a new discovery, I have to include the Benefit High Beam highlighter. Although I rarely do apply a highlighter, this one is my favorite of the few that I have tried. It adds such a beautiful glow to my cheeks that isn't shiny, or too sparkly - it simply gives your cheeks a dewy finish. You can also incorporate a drop or two into your foundation for an overall glowing look.
