This quote has always managed to make me laugh, however, the older I get, the more I seem to recognize the truth that comes with it. As we all know, the women that hold our lives together, whether that be mothers, grandmothers, sisters or girlfriends, are the people who guide us, empower us, and mold us into the best versions of ourselves. As we grow, it is these women who set the example of how to live a life full of happiness and love.
Personally, my mother is my rock, my best friend, and my number one cheerleader. We have been attached at the hip since I can remember. Since I was a child, she has shown me countless times what being an empowered, confident and selfless woman looks like. My mother is my first phone call, my favorite listener, and my hardest goodbye. I am forever thankful for the constant unconditional love, and the endless desire she has to put her kids' needs before her own.
